ABOUT US
~Thank you for taking an interest in Hoppy Homestead, we are a homeschool family that raises holland lop rabbits with few litters and lots of love! ~We are located in Inman, SC.
~We raise VM Holland lops which are NOT SHOWABLE but have unique markings and adorable blue eyes most of the time.
~Holland lops are rabbits with floppy ears that will be between 3-5 lbs full-grown. They are excellent pets and are known for their great temperaments. However, they are a big responsibility and take a lot of love and care. Make sure you do your research and are sure you would like to add this new member to your family!

RESERVING A RABBIT
• We start reservations for kits at 4 weeks of age.
• We accept deposits for choice kits via, PayPal *FRIENDS AND FAMILY* , or Zelle. When payment has been received, the rabbit of your choice will be reserved. Deposits are on a first come first serve basis. Individual photos of each rabbit will be listed. These photos will be labeled and include the gender of the rabbit pictured. A mandatory, NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE deposit of 50% must be placed on a rabbit for it to be considered reserved! The balance can be paid before pickup (required if working with transport) or at pickup.
•IF something were to happen to your rabbit while he/she is in my care, you will be given the option of a refund (this is the only circumstance in which we offer a refund) or you may transfer the deposit to an available or future kit.
DISCLAIMER: Hoppy Homestead reserves the right to refuse the sale of any rabbit for any reason.

IMPORTANT
• Bunnies will NOT leave my care before 8 weeks of age.
•Sexing rabbits at a young age is difficult, human error can occur, therefore we do not guarantee gender. I sex to the best of my ability and check at a few days, at 6 weeks, and again before pickup.
•I guarantee that all rabbits leaving my care are healthy to the best of my knowledge. I am NOT responsible for any improper care of the bunny after he/she leaves my care and cannot guarantee health once they have left the premises. We are happy to help with any problems that may arise through personal advice only. Any subsequent vet care is the responsibility of the buyer.
•The costs vary depending on the fur color and eye color of our rabbits. The price range is between $70-200. Rabbits can be purchased with or without pedigree.
•Your rabbit will come with a sample baggy of transition feed, a birth certificate, and a pedigree if requested.
•For the safety and well-being of our rabbits, we run a closed rabbitry. No buyer is permitted to walk our property to see the enclosures of our animals, If you have questions or concerns about the treatment of our animals we will be happy to answer any questions.

NEUTERING / SPAYING
•Be aware that you may want to neuter your bunny. This will help with :
-Eliminating the risk of ovarian/uterine cancers and other uterine diseases such as pyometra (infection in the uterus) in females. The risk of developing cancers of the uterus increases as the rabbit ages. It is best to spay before the rabbit is 2 years of age to greatly reduce the risk.
· Reducing aggressive behavior: Both male and female rabbits (especially females!) can display aggressive behaviors such as biting and lunging. Rabbits that were once easy to handle can become very difficult to pick up once they have reached sexual maturity
-Reducing urine marking behaviors Males and female rabbits can spray urine on vertical surfaces to mark their territory. It is more commonly seen in males than females. The urine from a sexually mature male also has quite a strong odor. If the behavior is allowed to continue, it may be impossible to completely stop with neutering so it is best to neuter before sexual maturity or just shortly after to curb this behavior before it becomes a habit.

**I will ALWAYS Take my bunnies back!
Please Please NEVER Set your bunny free in the wild, please don't let it go unloved, or send it to the shelter!! Before you do any of these contact me!! NO, I WILL NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY, but doing any of the above isn't paying you either. Rabbits live up to 10 years if kept healthy. Please think about that before purchasing.

MY PICKUP POLICY
• Pick-up dates will be announced at the time of open reservations. If you are working with transport or need to arrange a different date/time for pick up, that is perfectly fine. We offer a grace period of one week for pick up from the agreed-upon date, after which, you forfeit your deposit and the rabbit will be listed as available for the next interested party. Again, deposits WILL NOT be refunded.

•Transport- I will work with any transport you feel comfortable with. Transporters travel all over the country picking up and dropping off bunnies. It’s your job to find a transporter that will travel by you and me both. They do not go door to door. You will have to meet them off the interstate that is in their route.
Most transporters will work with you as long as you are on their route. It’s your job to schedule and confirm I’m able to meet that date and town. You must pay both of us the remaining balance before the date of transport. Once your bunny leaves my care. The bunny is no longer my responsibility!!
**If you choose to use a transporter all issues with the transporter are not my responsibility.
